I’m glad you chose to stay with me awhile and learn more about Resume Plus.
I made a pretty strong statement on the home page…
“My clients receive more interviews and better job offers.”
But it’s something that’s been proven time and time again by the emails and thank-you cards I receive just about every day, and especially by the referrals that continue to come my way.
What makes the resumes I write work better? It’s a combination of things, beginning with one very important skill: I know how to put the pieces together.
Your background is probably like most other people. You’ve done a lot of different jobs, learned a lot of different things, and have a lot of different skills. How do you put it all together, focus it on one specific employment goal, and make everything fit on one or two pages?
I learned to do this when I was marketing products for a Fortune 500 company, and I still do it when I market people. It starts with understanding the product (YOU), what the buyer (EMPLOYER) needs, how you can fill those needs (YOUR VALUE), and what makes you the best choice (YOUR PERSONAL BRAND).
I don’t learn this by osmosis. I take the time to get to know you; not just your job history but who you really are, what you want out of your next job, and what you don’t want.
I ask you some very pointed questions, draw out critical information, and use it to create a resume that maximizes your strengths, minimizes your weaknesses, and MARKETS you to employers. It’s an approach that’s worked for more than 20 years…and it still works!
As you move through my website (and I hope you’ll keep traveling), you’ll find out more about what sets Resume Plus apart from so many other companies.
The Professional Services page helps you understand the real purpose of your resume (and it’s NOT to report your job history). Shows you how easy it is to get started. What it takes to land interviews. And how you can jump-start your career.
On the Resumes 101 page, you will find out what your resume needs to be to get you noticed. What employers (and recruiters) actually do with your resume after they get it. What the people who make hire/don’t hire decisions MUST SEE in your resume. And how to choose the right resume writer.
The Sue Montgomery page tells you a bit more about me and answers two very important questions I am often asked:
- How did you become a professional resume writer?
- Why should I choose you?
On almost every page, you’ll see thank-you messages I’ve received from clients who hired me the first time and trust me for a lifetime. While I fiercely protect the confidentiality of each and every client, these folks have given me written approval to use their testimonials on my website.
If you like what you’ve learned about Resume Plus, then take the next step and contact me. You can do it with a phone call or an email. I will be happy to talk with you about your career aspirations and how the resume I create for you will help you realize them. And, of course, there is no obligation.
I look forward to hearing from you.
